Funding secured for retrofit works on city social housing
Galway Bay fm newsroom - 130 properties within the city's social housing stock are to have retrofit works carried out.Galway City Council has been granted funding of over 190 thousand euro to carry out the attic and insulation improvements.
It's to focus on pre-1950s housing stock.Properties to be prioritised this year are located in Claddagh, Shantalla, Henry Street, Bohermore and Bridgets Terrace.City Mayor Padraig Conneely says the scheme will continue over a three to four year period.
