Applications are being sought as part of a tourism scheme which aims to celebrate Irish culture in the Galway gaeltacht region.

The initiative is co-funded by Udaras na Gaeltachta and Failte Ireland.

It's aimed at events to be organised along the Wild Atlantic Way in the Galway, Mayo, Donegal, Kerry and Cork gaeltacht regions.

Funding will be offered to support events that are deemed to address a gap in the culture market, and that take place regularly in public or outdoor spaces.

The deadline for applications is Monday May 6th.
