FUNDING FOR 14 GALWAY CHILDCARE FACILITIES

393 thousand euro in funding has been granted to 14 Galway childcare facilities.

The funding aims to address remedial, maintenance, renovation work and equipment needs for early education and childcare services.

It's part of a national programme valued at 6 million euro to support a total of 290 childcare facilities.

Galway East Deputy Colm Keaveney says the successful list of applicants include six community facilities and six private facilities.
