FUNDING ANNOUNCED FOR CONNEMARA WATER SCHEME

The Government has sanctioned funding to allow the County Council proceed with work on the Costelloe Regional Water Supply Scheme.

Minister for the Environment, Phil Hogan, announced the funding to carry out works involved in the network contract, valued at 2.5 million euro.

It'll involve the construction of two reservoirs at Rosmuc and Glenmore in Carraroe and the carrying out of 7 and a half kilometres of pipeline works in the Carraroe, Casla and Rosmuc area.
