FOUNDATION TO BE LAUNCHED TODAY IN MEMORY OF MANUELA RIEDO

An Irish publican is launching a new foundation today [24/4] in honour of Swiss teenager Manuela Riedo.The 17 year old was killed just three days after arriving in Galway city in October of 2007.29 year old Gerald Barry was found guilty of her murder and sentenced to life in prison.Dubliner Brendan McGuinness runs a bar in Basel in Switzerland and says he was horrified by the murder.The new foundation aims to support other rape victims and educate young people about the dangers of walking alone at night.
