FORMER UHG DOCTOR NOT CONTACTED AMID INVESTIGATIONS

A pathologist at the centre of investigations in to cancer misdiagnoses in Galway and Cork says he has not been contacted by the health authorities.Dr Antoine Geagea is insisting that he resigned from Cork University Hospital because of his dissatisfaction with the hospitals laboratory.This morning's Irish Examiner reports that the Finnish medical authorities say Dr Geagea has never been suspended or received a warning for his practicesThis is despite being responsible for two cancer misdiagnoses in his native country.The locum pathologist worked at UHG for 6 months until March this year
