FIRST EVER FOOD FESTIVAL TO BOOST GALWAY ECONOMY

Date Published: 06-Apr-2012
The first ever Galway food festival is another 'big hook' that will attract hundreds of tourists, creating an economic boost for the city and county.
That's according to City Councillor Neil McNeilis, who was speaking ahead of the festival launch.
The official opening takes place at the festival village at the Spanish Arch in the city at 12:30 this afternoon.
The festival runs from today until Monday at over 50 food outlets and restaurants throughout the city and its environs.
Councillor Neil McNeilis says this event will celebrate Galway as a good food destination.
