Final reports on school patronage for Loughrea and Tuam to be presented to Minister

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Final reports are to be presented to the Minister for Education this month on reconfiguration options for school patronage in Loughrea and Tuam.

It follows the publication of the school patronage survey in April.

It sought reconfiguration options for both county towns that would provide accommodation for an Educate Together School.

The survey was carried out in 38 towns nationwide including in Ballinasloe where it was not clear that there was a viable demand for change in the area.

In a statement to Galway Bay fm news, the Department of Education says it will examine the reports from patrons once received this month.
