FIBRE OPTIC BROADBAND COMING TO GALWAY CITY

Galway will be one of the first locations in Ireland to benefit from fibre-optic broadband technology.

12,500 homes and businesses served by the Mervue exchange will benefit from network upgrading by Eircom.

Eircom is investing €100 million in the project, and aims to reach one million homes in the next four years.

The work in Galway will start this autumn and will continue into next year.
