FEARS OVER FUTURE OF MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES IN HEADFORD

A Galway East TD is calling on the HSE to maintain Mental Health Services in the Headford area.

This is in response to concerns that the local services may be removed and brought under existing services in the city.

Fine Gael Deputy Paul Connaughton is seeking answers from the HSE on whether the mental health facilities will be affected by a proposed change under the HSE policy "A Vision for Change".

According to Deputy Connaughton confirmation is needed as to the security of the services for both users and professionals working in the facility.
