ENTERPRISE MINISTER VOWS TO REPLACE ABBOTT'S JOBS

The Minister for Enterprise Micheal Martin has vowed to do everything he can to replace the 500 jobs lost at Abbotts today. Abbott Vascular based at Mervue IDA park, informed staff at a meeting this afternoon that the plant will close in September next year.The company has said they have excess manufacturing capacity globally and have decided to close the Galway plant and another plant in California.
