DOUGHISKA GROUP WATER SCHEME TO BE UPGRADED

The Doughiska group water scheme is to be upgraded through a joint partnership by Galway city and county councils.

The small section that is located within the city boundary has been enduring poor water pressure in recent years with the problem being exacerbated during bad weather.

Galway County Council can now upgrade the scheme after city councillors gave the go ahead for the works to take place at a meeting this week.
