DIABETES INFORMATION EVENT FOR GALWAY WOMEN

Women in Galway need to learn more about the risks to their health from diabetes, according to local heart charity Croi.

As many as 12 percent of pregnant women develop gestational diabetes, which can have adverse effects on the health of both mother and baby, if not managed.

Croi is hosting a free information evening at the Croi Heart and Stroke Centre, Moyola Lane, Newcastle from 6.30 this evening. (19/3)

Diabetes specialist and Consultant Endocrinologist, Professor Fidelma Dunne will speak at the event.
