Department of Education planning relocation of Bullaun National School
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Department of Education is planning to move Bullaun National School to a new greenfield site in Bullaun village.
It follows campaigns by the school's principal and staff, who claim the existing school has exceeded it's capacity and is inadequate for 188 pupils and 10 staff.
The school authorities have obtained a site for the new development, which will be subject to a department evaluation before the architectural planning process can begin.
Junior Education Minister Ciaran Cannon says he can't foresee any problems with the proposed site.
