DECISION ON OUGHTERARD ROAD UPGRADE IN APRIL

The case involving future plans to upgrade a key roadway in Connemara is set to be decided in April.

An application for planning permission for the upgrading of the main road from Maam Cross to Oughterard, has now gone to An Bord Pleanala.

Galway County Council has also submitted a compulsory purchase order for the local authority road project.

A decision on the upgrade is due by April 17th.
