DECISION DUE ON FUTURE OF CITY MEDICAL FIRM

A decision is due to be made this week on the future of city medical firm Beckman Coulter.
The company which employs around 190 staff at its Mervue Business Park base is due to conclude a review of its Irish operations.
This week's expected announcement follows a review of Beckman Coulter's Galway and Clare plants.
Senior management have been examining whether to continue with both locations, select one or merge the two to a new greenfield site.
