Custody remand for woman over Connemara drugs seizure
Galway Bay fm newsroom - A 29 year old woman has appeared before a special sitting of the courts charged with the alleged cultivation of drugs in Maam.
Anna Skorupska with an address in Maam appeared before Galway district court this morning.She's been charged under section 17 of the misuse of drugs act, and remanded in custody to appear before the courts again next week.
Forty-two thousand euro worth of cannabis plants were seized following a number of planned searches of premises in the Maam area yesterday.The searches were part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Galway Region.
