CRUCIAL FUNDING FOR BALLINASLOE FLOOD WORKS SANCTIONED

Crucial funding for flood relief works in parts of Ballinasloe has been sanctioned.

Galway County Council has been allocated a total of 900 thousand euro for works to be carried out in the Derrymullen and Ashfield areas.

The Office of Public Works is increasing the amount of funding that was originally allocated to these areas following further details from flood studies.

Funding of 365 thousand euro was initially allocated for these works.
