COUNTY GALWAY VEC TO BE PATRON OF CLAREGALWAY SCHOOL

County Galway VEC has been named as the patron of the planned second level school in Claregalway.

Education Minister Ruairí Quinn has announced the patronage for 14 new post primary schools across the country

A new temporary building is expected to open in Claregalway for pupils enrolling in September 2013.

Construction of a permanent school building is expected to begin in 2014 / 2015.

There are over 1700 children attending primary schools in Claregalway and surrounding areas.

Galway Senator Fidelma Healy Eames says County Galway VEC is a worthy patron of the new Claregalway school.
