Date Published: 01-Feb-2010

A couple from county Galway have collected more than half a million euro from Lotto offices in Dublin, after they won it in last Friday's Euromillions draw.

The lucky 6 euro quick-pick was sold in O' Donoghue's Spar in Abbeyknockmoy last Friday.

The couple, who don't want to be identified were watching the draw on television last Friday night when they realised they had won 548 thousand euro.

The winners say they're delighted with their win and hope to use the money to get married and brighten up their families' lives.

They collected their win during a champagne reception at Lotto offices in Dublin today.
