COUNTY COUNCIL TO PROMOTE MORE ECO FRIENDLY TRANSPORT

Galway County Council is to promote more eco friendly modes of transport by taking part in European Mobility Week for the first time.This year will be the 7th European Mobility Week which aims to encourage the public to change their travel behaviour and use more sustainable modes of transport.It will runs from September 16th until the 22nd, but it will be launched this Monday in council headquarters in Prospect Hill by Mayor of County Galway, Peter Feeney. The highlight of the week is 'In Town Without My Car' which challenges people to question what the towns of Galway would be like with less traffic.
