COUNTY BUDGET DEBATE STILL UNDERWAY AT COUNTY HALL

The debate on the 2012 budget for County Galway is still underway at county buildings.

The most contentious issue is the drop in funding for roads which isestimated at 34 point 6 million, over 2 million down on last years allocation of 36 point 1 million euro.

The main points for businesses is that there is no proposal to increase commercial rates next year, however commercial water rates will be increased.
