Councillor assured Eyre Square will be mended
Galway Bay fm newsroom- The Chairperson of Galway Business Association says Eyre Square will be re-instated to the standard it was at before the Continental Christmas market.
Anthony Ryan was responding to a call from Councillor Ollie Crowe to carry out work at Eyre Square to remediate it and bring it up to an acceptable standard.
Councillor Crowe is urging the Council to use the bond of 20 thousand euro provided by the organisers of the market to reinstate the area.
Speaking on 'Galway Talks', Councillor Crowe says Eyre Square needs to be at the same standard are other urban centres.
Chairperson of Galway Business Association, Anthony Ryan, says there will be no problem with re-instating Eyre Square and the weather has a lot to do with the poor state of the Square.
