Galway City Council is expected to return to the courts for a determination on costs following a court victory on the Eyre Square controversy.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court quashed the finding by an arbitrator that Galway City Council behaved unreasonably towards the original contractor hired to renovate Eyre Square.

Both the city council and contractor Samuel Kingston have been paying their own court fees up to this point

However, if both parties cannot come to agreement on costs then it could go back to arbitration.
