Council confirms no communication on Quiet Man cottage campaign

Galway County Council says there is no record of communication from Patrick McCormick with regard to his camaign on the 'quiet man' cottage.
The Belfast native living in Canada has set up an online petition to have the iconic cottage in Maam added to the councils list of protected structures.
He claims that lmost 2,800 people have signed the petition to date.
But Galway County Council says a series of notifications would have to be carried out before any structure is considered for addition to the record of protected structures.
