CONTROVERSY AT COUNCIL MEETING OVER TUAM SWIMMING POOL OPENING TIMES

Further attempts are to be made to facilitate people who want to use Tuam Swimming Pool on an occasional basis following discussions at this week's meeting of Galway County Council.

Kevin Kelly from the Council management team said Tuam Swimming Pool was available 45 hours per week on a pay-as-you-go basis.

He added that the operators - Kingfisher - had been willing to change the hours of general availability to the public on a number of occasions.
