Contracts to be signed next week for Galway Airport purchase

Contracts are due to be signed next week for the acquisition of Galway Airport. Last November, Galway City and County Councils announced they were to purchase the airport in a joint venture costing more than a million euro. A spokesperson says a small number of details are being finalised. It's hoped the contracts will be signed next week. The Aviation Authority has extended the licence as an interim measure to groups using the Carnmore facility such as Galway Flying Club.
