A group of businessmen from Connemara are in danger of losing millions of euro due to difficulties that have arisen in a tourism development in which they were involved in Orlando in Florida. An investment of €15m was organised in Clifden three years ago as the starting point for a $75m holiday villa project beside Disneyworld in Orlando. The fund went to America but there has been no progress on the scheme and a Court hearing is expected in Florida early next month with the Connemara group trying to get their money back.
