CLIFDEN RECORDS LOWEST COUNTY COMMERCIAL UNIT VACANCY RATE

Clifden has recorded the lowest commercial unit vacancy rate in the county.

Figures compiled by GeoDirectory show that it has 36 empty commercial units, a rate of just 9 percent.

Loughrea recorded the highest number of empty units with a rate of 13 percent.

In the county, this is followed by Ballinasloe which has 98 units, Athenry with a rate of 11 percent, and Tuam also with a rate of 11 percent.

In the city 818 units are recorded, 13 percent of stock levels.

Dara Keogh is CEO of GeoDirectory and says the number of empty city units is the highest in the country for such an urban centre.
