Date Published: 14-Mar-2012

The principal of Clifden Community school says the area is 'devastated' by news they have not been included in the school building programme.

Planning permission for the school was granted last year, and there's even a picture of what the new building would look like inside the front doors of the school.

Over 35 thousand euro has also been spent from the schools budget on developing the project.

It was revealed on Monday that 23 schools across county Galway are to share in a one point five bllion euro investment into the five year school building programme.

Speaking on Galway Talks, Principle of Clifden Community School Liam Bolger says they should never have been excluded from the building list.
