CITY SHOE STORE SAVED AS ADMINISTRATORS FIND BUYER

City Shoe Store Barratts is to be saved from closure as joint administrators have been successful in finding a buyer for the group.Under the new deal, the outlet in Eyre Square Centre has been identified as one of 89 stores which will continue to trade.
The sale was announced this week by Deloitte, the business advisory firm appointed as joint administrators.
It means jobs in Galway will now be safeguarded following weeks of uncertainty since the group's administration was confirmed last month.
The Eyre Square Store currently employs 5 full time and 3 part time staff and had also hired 3 additional seasonal staff members for the peak Christmas period.
