City Manager vows to restore seven day burial service
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The City Manager says he remains 'steadfast in his desire' to restore a 7 day burial service to Galway.
Brendan McGrath made the comment in response to Cllr Ollie Crowe who told last evening's meeting of the local authority it was past time the decision was reversed.
The city manager added it would take some to time to work out certain matters such as staffing and the budget.
He stressed that the Gateway initiative could not be used to fill any positions normally carried out by existing staff.
