City man to be sentenced in July over shotgun possession
Galway Bay fm newsroom - A 24-year-old city man faces sentence in July for having a sawn-off shotgun in his possession in Rahoon two years ago.
Michael Murphy, 203 Laurel Park, Newcastle, Galway, pleaded guilty before Galway Circuit Criminal Court to the unlawful possession of a Baikel shotgun, the barrel of which had been shortened, at Droim Chaoin, Rahoon on April, 19, 2012.Defence Barrister, Jennifer Higgins asked for sentencing to be adjourned until a probation report was obtained on her client.
