CITY MAN TO BE SENTENCED FOR DECEPTION OVER DIGGER

A man who pleaded guilty to obtaining €8,000 for a digger by deception will be sentenced in February, following his appearance before Galway Circuit Criminal Court this week.Thomas Corcoran of Doughiska, Merlin Park, pleaded guilty to inducing Thomas Monaghan to hand over €3,000 to him at Loughrea Tyre Centre on February 5, 2007, for a Hitachi digger, with the intention of making a gain for himself.
