A city man is planning to run for the Labour Party in next year's local elections. Tuam Road native Derek Nolan has announced he's to seek the Labour Party nomination to run in the Galway City East Ward in next month's Convention. Mr Nolan ran for Labour in the 2004 local elections and polled almost 900 votes. If nominated he'll join Former Mayor Tom Costello on the Labour ticket in the East Ward.
