CITY MAN JAILED FOR POSING AS GUARD

A 55 year old man with a city address has been jailed for 15 months for posing as a senior Garda.
John Wall of Fairgreen Hostel pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to impersonating a member of An Garda Síochána, using false cheques and possession of stolen property.
The Irish Times reports that Limerick born Wall was described as a 'sophisticated fraudster' in court.
