A city councillor says the Council should take back a site gifted to a group, which hopes to build an arthouse cinema.

At a meeting of the City Council last night, Councillor Colette Connolly said that councillors should be given a detailed progress report on the project at Dock road.

Director of Services, Tom Connell said that the board of SOLAS is still liasing with the new contractor and it's hoped work will begin next month.

Councillor Colette Connolly said that "it's disgraceful" to have such an "interference with a public road" for so long.
