Galway city council says it will continue to pursue the thousands of city home owners who have yet to pay second home charges.

Roughly 29 percent or 7,500 city home owners still owe the NPPR or Non Principal Private Residence Charge.

Collection of the NPPR charge for 2012 began on the 31st March, and is based on the ownership and status of the property as of that date.
