Galway City Council is reportedly set to lose 860 thousand euro in development levies, because a major developer has gone into voluntary liquidation.

George Maloney of Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon was appointed as liquidator of Harrmack Developments on July 1st.

Galway City Council has been involved in a lenghty legal battle with the company about outstanding levies.

A City Council spokesperson confirmed to the Irish Independent that Harrmack Developments owes 468 thousand euro in unpaid levies at Fionnuisce, Doughiska.

It reportedly owes another 393 thousand euro for the development of apartments at Fionnuisce, which were half built.
