CITY COUNCIL REFERS SUNDAY BURIAL PROBLEM TO THE GOVERNMENT

City officials are to write to the government to seek approval to take on sufficient staff needed to provide a 7 day burial service in the city

The move is on foot of a unanimous motion passed at last night's meeting after pleas by councillors to find a solution to this sensitive problem

Councillors felt uncomfortable at leaving this problem unresolved while giving the go ahead for a quarter of a million euro to be given to the Volvo Ocean Race
