CITY COUNCIL MAKES CHANGES TO CITY SPEED LIMITS

Bye-laws changing a number of speed limits in the city were passed at last night’s meeting of Galway City Council.

The speed limit between the Parkmore Village junction and Galway City on the N17 will now be halved to 50 kilometres per hour for safety reasons.

A 30 kilometre per hour reduction on Monument Road from its junction with Coolagh Road to Menlo will also come into effect.
