Galway City Council is carrying out tests on a substance which seems to have leaked into Lough AtaliaLocal residents have described a milky white substance in the water at the bottom of the lakeThe Environment and Sanitary Sections of the City Council are aware of the situation and are carrying out tests on the substanceIt's understood this type of substance has been reported on several occassions in that areaOfficials are on site this afternoon and are hoping to establish the source of the leak
