City Council considers options for Carrowbrowne site
Galway bay fm newsroom - The city council is considering 'all options' in relation to finding alternative accomodation for families living at a temporary halting site on the Headford road.
A 12 month temporary permission for the second site at Carrowbrowne, granted by An Bord Pleanala, will expire at the end of this year. (December)
It's being used to provide accomodation for around 13 families, and was originally used as a transient site during the refurbishment of the nearby permanent site.
In a statement, Director of services Joe O' Neil says the city council is considering all options in relation to alternative accomodation.
