Celtic Tiger is gone - but how about a free Jaguar with your new home?!!

The vendors of a picturesque five-bed country cottage and guest lodge in the North Galway village of Kilconly have come up with a novel idea to boost interest – a secondhand top-of-the-range Jaguar car is included in the sale.
The automatic 2003-registered 3.0 litre S-Type includes an all-leather interior with a current NCT and tax.
Nettlehill Cottage and Lodge – set on an “immaculately maintained” one-acre site – have been on the market for just over a year, and have had the price cut by €125,000.
Because there is only one septic tank on the site, the properties have to be sold together.
Now, in an effort to drum up interest, the properties are on the market for a combined price of €300,000 and the owners have instructed the auctioneers to include a 2003-registered S-Type Jaguar in the sale.
Karen Joyce of Dermody Auctioneers in Tuam told the Connacht Tribune: “As there is only one septic tank, the two properties are being sold together. The vendors have contacted us and told us to include the car in the sale, so we’re expecting it to create interest. It’s certainly a novel selling point.”
The five-bed cottage comes with an adjacent lodge which has a further two bedrooms.
“There should be interest in it, possibly also from people interested in operating a holiday home business from there,” said Ms Joyce.
