CARRAROE NATIVE SET TO SECURE SEANAD SEAT

Date Published: 27-Apr-2011

Counting on the Seanad Agricultural Panel, for which there are two Galway candidates, will resume at Leinster House this morning.[27/4]

The first count got underway shortly before ten o' clock last night, and Labour's James Heffernan took the first seat at around 11.

It was adjourned at 12.30a.m and will resume at 10 o' clock this morning, with Trevor O' Clochartaigh from An Cheathrú Rua set to secure a seat as he only needs 6 transfers.

Fellow Galway running mate, Athenry Councillor, Peter Feeney doesn't look like he will secure a seat at this point.
