Date Published: 12-May-2012
Protestors campaigning for a long awaited extension to their Gaelscoil in Knocknacarra have taken to the streets to stage a protest in the city today.
Staff, parents and students from Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh are highlighting their 12 year wait for an extension to the current school facilities.
Currently over 200 children are being taught in eight portacabins on the grounds of the gaelscoil.
The school was exluded from the Government's five year capital investment programme announced in March.
Today's protest saw supporters march from Eyre Square to Shop Street, where they released 12 balloons to signify their 12 year campaign.
