CALLS FOR COUNCIL TO REVERSE ORANMORE ONE WAY

Date Published: 17-Apr-2012

A new one-way system at the old school house in Oranmore has met with huge opposition from locals and motorists.

That's according to Councillor Jim Cuddy who wants the County Council to revert to a two-way system immediately.

The one-way route is part of the Oranmore traffic management plan, which wasn't expected to come into effect until next week. (23 April)

It's understood the new system is causing long traffic delays through the town during peak hours.

Councillor Cuddy says the decision to proceed with the one-way road is causing huge annoyance and frustration.
