CALL TO TACKLE DUMPING OF DEAD HORSES ON HEADFORD ROAD
Date Published: 31-Jan-2013
Galway County Council has confirmed it's investigating the discovery of dead horses on the Headford road this week.
It's understood up to 5 horses were found dead at lands along the Curraghline.
A spokesperson for the county council says they are 'aware of the situation and are investigating'.
Local bog-owner Padraig Small says the dead animals are being dumped from other locations by the perpetrators.
He says CCTV cameras must be considered if the offenders are to be brought to account.
