Call to speed up roll-out of LEAP card to Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom – There are calls to speed up the rollout of the LEAP card system to Galway. Galway West Fianna Fail TD Eamon O'Cuiv says the integrated ticketing system is not due to be rolled out here until 2015 at the earliest. The LEAP card system is currently operational in Dublin and can be used on Dublin Bus, DART, Commuter Rail and the LUAS. Deputy O'Cuiv is urging the National Transport Authority to fast-track its introduction to Galway. He says it would encourage commuters to leave their cars at home and use all kinds of public transport:
