BODY REMOVED FROM SCENE OF SUSPICIOUS DEATH IN OUGHTERARD

The body of Oughterard man John Kenny is due to arrive at University Hospital Galway around now for a post mortem examination.
Earlier a preliminary post mortem examination was carried out by the State pathologist, Dr. Marie Cassidy at the scene of his sudden death on Main Street Oughterard.
The body of the teacher and part-time publican was discovered by a family member at Kenny's Bar around 6 o' clock last evening.
John Kenny, who was in his 50s, has one daughter and siblings who live in the local area.
Door to door enquiries are being carried out by Gardai in Oughterard this afternoon.
